Where do I actually show up?

A single rank taken from one spot says almost nothing about a local business. Vicin measures your position across a grid of points around each location, because that is how customers actually search — from where they are.

What it reads

Named sources, not "AI".

  • Local search results measured at each point on a grid around the location.
  • The same grid re-measured over time, so movement is comparable rather than anecdotal.
  • The businesses appearing at the points where you do not.

What you get

  • Your position at every point, and the share of points where you appear in the top three.
  • Movement between measurements, with the dates of both.
  • The points where you are absent, which is usually where the money is.

The decision it feeds: Which parts of your service area you are actually competitive in, and where a second location or a different focus would pay.

What it cannot see

Every Vicin page carries this section. It is not an afterthought and it is not hidden.

  • A grid that has never been measured shows nothing at all — not an empty chart and not a zero. This rule exists because a business ranking first was once reported at 0% visibility.
  • Results vary by device and by the exact moment of measurement. Vicin reports what it measured, with when it measured it.
  • Grid coverage is bought per measurement. The size and frequency of the grid are set per location rather than assumed.
