Nightly encrypted backups, with a restore actually tested
Vicin’s server takes an encrypted backup every night to storage at a second provider. A restore was performed end to end rather than assumed: a marker written to the live database, downloaded back, restored into a clean database and compared. A total compromise of the server cannot read, decrypt or delete the most recent fourteen days of backups.

vicin.io is live on its own server
A dedicated server, HTTPS on both vicin.io and www.vicin.io, password sign-in disabled, an isolated database, and no database port open to the internet.
